Some pics you guys might like (not rover)
Yes thinking about selling my mustang and buying that red esprit in the background... it's in rough shape, no motor in it, interior is screwed, but it's just sitting and they'll put a v8 twin turbo in it for me...
Yes I'm thinking the same thing... this is how I bought my land rover, "rough condition," I just planned out everything it needed, limped it home, and fixed everything in a weekend... I'll do the same with this car assume I don't go over budget...
Ha!Ha! Over budget!! I haven't ever owned a car that I started playing with that stayed under budget!! It's a ridiculous addiction - once you start - you can't stop!!! Oh well - ther are worse things!!
What happened to the original motor in the Esprit?--and why is the interior trashed?. Was it a theft recovery car?
Just curious, as I have driven a few turbo-Esprits over the different generations.

I was asking my friend some questions about it since I'm always looking for deals and he said, "I think the owner of the car said, 'if you can find someone to buy this, sell it.'" So I need to get some details from the owner of the shop, if the price is less than the potential sale price of my mustang, I'll get the ball rolling on it.
The car looks like it's in great condition, the interior is pretty much all there except for things like the gauge cluster, some dash parts, shifter parts, and few interior trim peices, again the motor is not in the car, it does however have the trans..
Here is the motor they're planning on dropping into it, it's a v8 twin turbo.
Let us know what they are trying to get for it--- and if you decide to pass on the deal. That car sold for $70K in 2002 with the twin-turbo V-8. And it got up and went pretty good at 3000 lbs. w/350 h.p., and 175 mph top end.
I've seen nice low mileage examples for around $40k here in California.
