Erik is working on it, too. I have struck out horribly so far.

When this information become known I will formulate some serious metadata so our childrens' children can find it!

You might call or email Turner Engineering. I'm sure if anyone would have the specs they would.
I'll also mention that I'm fairly certain that the rod bolts are TTY single use (from an engine rebuilding perspective) bolts. Ask Turner about also, for verification.

Here's the conrod bolt info I was referring to:
Turner Engineering ERR 1772 Conrod Bolt - Set 16

As for clearances, the shop could make sure the big end bore is not out of round, install the new shells and rod to the the crank (using the old bolts) and check the final clearance with plastigauge and, if correct, refit the bearing caps using the new bolts.

On a lark I googled "land rover 4.6 connecting rod big end bore dimensions" and found 2.185"
Buick 215 Rover 3.5 Land Rover 4.0 and 4.6 differences

Then I found this:
HELP! Big end bore spec - Defender Source
2.315" in case someone needs it. And yes, there are procedures for correcting rods--it happens all the time that they get trued up. Just couldn't find the value anywhere.
I completely forgot about this thread, of course it was 5 years ago.

You are an Internet ninja! I read one or both of those links before but couldn't find the right measurement. I'm going to go with Cannibal's for better or worse. They are engine ninjas.

Well, AC (Tom) is the NINJA OF ALL NINJAS. This morning, all of my rod housings mic'd at 2.3xx. SO I called Steve back and 2.189-2.191 is the JOURNAL measurement (I guess... this is all over my head). We miscommunicated... or I miscommunicated. Anyway, Thanks, AC!!!

So the correct rod bore is 2.315. I asked Steve if there is a range and he said 2.315 so that's what I told the shop and they aren't happy about it.

EDIT: I got another answer from Turner Engineering... see below
