Default Sound when on and off the gas

I only hear it when I'm traveling on level roads with the windows up. But whenever I press and release the gas pedel I hear a slight "clunk" like the rear trans in engaging and dis-engaging. It's not loud at all, but I do hear a faint "clunk." Any ideas?

The 30K maint. was done at the dealer but I have not done anything to my trans fluids.

Its slack in the drive line most Rovers have it just let off the gas easier.

Grease the drive line and change gear oil in the Transfer case and the diffs to a 75w-140w and that will help.

Sounds like a sloppy driveline. I can't say it is like this with all Discos, but it has been the case on all the ones I have driven, at least a little.

Mine had a slight clunk before the front driveshaft gave way. It appeared a few months after I bought it. I would check the play in the joints if you have not already, I wish I had.
