I'm looking for a replacment engine. Anyone know of any available beside Roverland Parts? RP doesn't actually have one in stock even though its listed on their website, so they just say 2-3 wks before one is available (which I believe is just a guess).

 

Depends on how much you're willing to spend. Are you looking for new or used?

 

If by "new" you mean rebuilt, than either I suppose. I prefer a "lower" mileage used motor out of a wreck, but those aren't easy to come by. I'm expecting to spend around $3k for a good motor.

 

First, what happened to yours?
As for a price, better find a local yard cause shipping charges will kill you.
Look in my signature section and contact Will or Paul for an engine, they are both good honest people.

 

I would check www.car-part.com I've had engines shipped to me in the past, though usually nothing bigger than an acura v6, and most salvage yards charge around $150 freight if it's to a business address.
