Default Source Tone Memory & Aux Volume

Does anybody know what function does the "Source Tone Memory" do on the audio system? The manual does not provide any explaination. From what I thought, the function lets you set the bass, treble, etc independently for each audio mode (Radio, CD, & Aux). However, this doesn't seem to be the case. Secondly, when I tried to set it to ON, it would go back to OFF when I go back to check its status.

[:@]Is there a way to control the auxiliary volume? To get good volume when using my iPod (with the volume set at 4/5 to the max level), myaudio volume needs to be at 20+. This creates a problem as the volume gets so loud when I use the NAV (set at +1, being the lowest). So my question is,is therea way to increase theauxiliary volume? This way, I can lower the audio volume and at the same time my NAV volume won't be too loud to damage myear drums. I really wonder if I'm the only one experiencing this problem.

Default RE: Source Tone Memory & Aux Volume

Not sure about the Source Tone Memory. Just picked up my new 06 LR3 HSE today! I do know that the problem you have with your Ipod and low volume is not the Rover's fault. I have the same issue with my Ipod and Saab as well as Ipod/home stereo. After some internet searching a while back, it appears this is an Ipod problem or setting which can not be easily changed. It is due in part to the output from the Ipod being at earplug levels or something. I don't remember all of the specifics. Might try a search on google for low ipod volume or something.

you can adjust the volume of the navigation independently of the rest of the volume. you can find the settings in the nav settings. For some reason my nav lady sounds like a 80 year old life smoker. She is on mute.

This feature allows you to store bass, middle and treble tone settings for each source (MD, FM, AM, Changer, Aux)
