Default Source for key remote for DII

Does anyone know of a source for the key blanks for the DII remotes? I checked with the dealer but they only sell the entire remote and key blank. thanks Phil 2001 DII

You can buy the remote off of e-bay, www.atlanticbritish.com, www.autosportsunlimited.com...but the dealer has to program it for you, ~$125.
If you buy the remote from them they will program it for free. (ask first but this is standard practice, only takes them 5 min to do)

I have the remote, the fob part, the key blank is missing. I need only the key blank. I bought a new remote/key blank from the dealer. Gave me a good price, $135. It came in two parts, 1. fob 2. key blank. (I have a second remote, no key blank) It is just the key blank part that I need. Phil

Ok, sorry, I mis understood you.
You need a new key, www.atlanticbritish.com, e-bay.
Or your dealer, whichever is cheaper.

Can you reprogram a key from another discovery to work on yours? As in getting one from a junk yard?

as I understand it the dealer is the only one that can do it, or maybe some shop with testbook. You can program more than one with the dealer at the same time, hopefully only $55 for as many as you can do. Phil

The ECU will only handle 2 FOB's at any time.
If you have a used FOB that has the serial number and code number, yes you can reprogram it, you will however then need to find a blank insert key blank to have cut.
