This is what I have on my D2. I cut the studs on the tire carrier to be flush with the relocator plate so as to not conflict with the wheel. Also, I added some rubber mat to the face of the relocator so that the wheel wouldn't get scratched. Overall, a pretty cool upgrade.
I'm using the terrafirma rear carrier and its nice that it doesn't push out the wheel further with the adapter. The quality is pretty lackluster though. Powder coating started flaking off pretty quickly. One of these days, I'll need to take it off to redo.
I just bought and received my second one of the "Rover Hardware" brand D2 spare relo adapter - the 1.5" one. It's a great bit of kit, very high quality/big hunk of aluminum. My prior was sold on a Disco and I just got around to buying it for my new one to mount the real spare tire.
Anyway, I'd give it 2 very solid thumbs up. I ordered it on Tuesday I believe from Atlantic British and it showed up today in Oregon.
