Default Spark Plugs with Stock Wires?

If I switch to the Bosch Platinum plugs will the stock wires work efficiently with them? Wires still seem to be in really good shape. Basically it is 0 degrees farenheit here in MI and changing wires right now is undesireable.

NO, if you have the factory grey wires, they started failing above 50,000 miles. Install a set of 8 mm silicone wires, like STI or Magnacor for much better performance.

I hear you bro, as long as you dont use the crappy +4 Bosch plugs you will be fine.
To be honest though, these trucks came with el cheapo Champion copper plugs from the factory.

I installed a set of Bosch Platinums last September and had great results. I think I got them at Amazon for $2.35 each and they came with a mail in rebate for $3.00 each.

Are you also using Magnacor wires?

My Magnacor wires will be 11 years old in May, hard wire to beat.

A year or so ago the +4 plugs were talked about being a top choice.
I put them in with new wires about that time with no issues.
Won't change them yet, but when I get the urge?..
DiscoMike, Spike,
what plugs are you guys running?

I have to agree, the biggest thing is the upgrading to 8mm wires (I found some 8.5mm from Aurora ignition wires while in Canada)

Hey CANAM, I was just looking at the Aurora ignition wires site. There is mention of " pin style" coil connector or " regular ". How do I tell which I need for my 2000?
