A friend of mine had problems with his Magnecor wires. I replaced the STI wires in my truck preventively after 10+ years and 72,000 miles because RockAuto had the set for $11.00. I replaced the Champion 7070 spark plugs at the same time preventively after years and years of perfect service. The 7070s are the plugs specified by Land Rover, and are cross-referenced as RC11PYPB4, and by AB as NLP100320. The AB price for the Champion plugs is crazy high. They're available for much less from other sellers. Just search online using all three numbers to find the best price.
Whatever plugs you buy, make sure they are DOUBLE PLATINUM and in the same heat range, etc. as the stock Champions. The idiot mechanic here who changed the plugs in my truck before I started taking care of it 10 years ago used copper Champions, and they failed after just 13,000 miles. DOUBLE PLATINUM.
The DII ignition is called a wasted spark system. I used to have a link to an article that explained why double-platinum plugs should be used in a wasted-spark system but I can't find it. Google is your friend if you'd like more info on that topic..

Only issue I had with Kingsborne wires = I was shipped the wrong color lol. I also didn’t care for their crazy shipping fee’s. I do however really like Kingsborne spark plug wire boot protectors. I don’t use them on the wires though, I use them for the 5/16 line from the intake to the coolant reservoir whenever I do a TBH delete. You can get a set of 8 for a good price. The quality is excellent!
The last set of STI’s I got for 2.89 off Rock Auto! I’ve really never had a single issue with them on 87-04 LR’s. They’re reasonable & durable.

So you are saying I can buy these Plugs:
OR
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...070/11010052-P
---
and these Wires: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/lan...e-rover-hls103
and this would be equal to or better than the original factory stuff?
also, are the sti wires above 7 or 8mm? I want an upgrade from the factory stuff, but as I understand it, some long time favorites, such as Magnacores, have changed manufacturing practices and are not of the same quality as they once were.... that makes the search for parts more challenging!!
Thanks
