Default Sponsored post for Ford Trucks seems a bit funny here

I just saw the sponsored post for Ford trucks. Seems a bit funny on a forum for diehard Land Rover owners. One of the guys in our Land Rover club told a story about helping a friend get his Ford truck pulled out of a big mud hole. And the friend had already called 2 other buddies with Ford trucks who also got stuck. In the end he pulled out all 3!

yes, there are ads. They pay for the party. If Jeep and Ford want to spend their money, OK. The site host is a firm that has hundreds of vehicle related sites, and I suspect ad buys give you exposure on a variety of the sites.

Ads? What are these ads you speak of?

I agree with you! Ford should just spend their advertising money elsewhere. You story is testament that Ford trucks are no match to Land Rovers.

I dunno, I'm pretty sure my '85 F-250 can haul more and tow more than my Disco.

I've nothing against Ford. In fact, I rather like them. I'd love a new F-250 Platinum 4x4 Diesel Crew Cab! (It wouldn't replace my Disco, but it'd make for a damn fine daily driver and tow-rig.) I just don't like the posts shoved down our throat constantly, at the top of the board, made to look like it's something another member wanted to share. But, I digress.

Hey, at least I finally caved and added adblock to Chrome. A marked improvement!

If you've never used adblock before, one of the better features is being able to right-click on elements and go to adblock>block this ad. Works great! You can basically block EVERYTHING including links and the reply button.
