Spring change questions
I have about 2/3 weeks before I can do this, it looks pretty straight forward. I am scheduling a weekend, Murphy is a big fan of mine.
Any thing for odds and ends or known bolt failures, that I should have as just in case spares.
Also manifold to exhaust pipe gasket is that thing just generic, drivers side looks dodgy and I have an exhaust leak on that side. Seeing as it has bolts my bet is the seal is no good.
- But is there any way to check the isolators in the rear before taking the springs out.
- same in the front the rubber spring "locator"
- Visually checked the tower they look solid - thanks West Coast
- PB's all the bolts etc.

Can't really check the condition of the rear isolators without removing the spring
Lots of blocks of wood - you need to get the frame high up in the air
2-3 bottle jacks
floor jack - I also have a cross beam adapter from Harbor Freight that makes jacking a whole end up super easy
set of jack stands
(maybe) spring compressors - I seem to need them every time, especially on the last job w/ 2" pucks
New nuts for the shock towers (x8)
New nut for the front upper shock mount (x2)
For durability I switched to the Terrafirma metal front upper cones and tossed the rubber ones. I also added rear isolators to these
Use original shock bolts as they have some sort of thread taper on them to make locating the shock into the mount much easier.
