Spring & Shocks replacement, do you do an allignment?
If you replace the springs and shocks is it necessary to do a front end allignment? As I recall some members posted before that the Disco allignment is pretty hard to get out of wack unless you really hit something while off roading but the mechanic in me says you should do one if you mess with axles and the like.

Is it necessary, maybe not. Is it a good idea, definitely. As long as you don't mess with the steering arm you shouldn't have to get it aligned but it's a good idea.
rovers just have toe setting right? you can check it yourself. find 2 points on each tire (the seam makes a good point) measure front of right tire to front of left..then do rear of right tire to rear of left..subtract the difference.
you can use 2 tacks and a string or just a measuring tape

If your truck was not pulling before you installed a lift kit, it will not need an alignment afterwards. Nothing about the installation of the coils or shocks until you get into the 3.5" and up lift, then you need to look at an adjustable pan hard rod and sometimes new radius arms to correct the pinion angle.
For the normal 2" type lift you are fine with no changes.
