Sqeaking when Accelerating below 40mph
Let me preface this, had the front drive shaft replaced last spring on 99 disco II
Car makes a squeaking sound when accelerating, maybe a little when just in motion, sounds like the belt but its not. It also stops after going over 40mph.
Similar symptoms to when before my drive shaft went, except then it would just shake.
The drive shaft in there is rebuilt, do they need to be greased periodically, or is this shaft just going already.
Could also be a different problem?

Need to be greased. Did you have fitted a fully serviceable one? Ie, greasable both ends?
The cat runs close to the shaft, and melts the grease out of em.
Do that first off and see how it goes.

Also I take it as your diagnosis of my problem is in fact the drive shaft?
