Default squeky brakes causing abs issue??

This morning I was driving though a dirt lot to our job site and the the amigos came back as I was pressing on the brakes. They were very squeaky from all the dust.

This has happened twice now and they won't turn off now.

I'm saving some money so hopefully I can get a scan to to keep on hand after I rebuild the front driveshaft and get a new windscreen.

I was curious if anyone else has noticed anything similar?

Yes the squeaky breaks can trigger the abs amigos. While my p1590 was believed to just be a computer error i still think part of it had to do with squeaky breaks.

My brakes squeal like stuck pigs.
No ABS error code lights on at all.

if you need pads go ceramic if not buy a bottle of permatex brake pad cement, clean the pads and calipers put on the permatex and the noise will go away

Same issue with squeaky brakes. If you use the Scan Gage and clear OBDII code right when it happens, the 3 Amigos won't stick permanently.. If you wait too long, they stick and you need an ABS scanner. I've been lazy and have not removed them to permatex. I have CDP+ now, so am able to clear when it happens. I've been wondering if and adjustment to the sensor spacing would prevent this on future squealing.

What codes do you get from the abs computer?
