Default SRS light on

Guys i wonder if anyone can shed some light on this fault? I have plugged the hawkeye in and on the airbag screen the fauly shows as a permanent fault? it doesnt show any codes at all??

Am i doing something wrong or is it a major earth fault on the airbag system?

Thanks in advance for any help on this!!!

Read that one wrong.
With that sort of a code, start with the basics, check your connections at all belts and possible grounds.

Thanks Mike,
I have checked all the connections, split them cleaned them and put dielectric grease on the pins on the seat belt tensioners and the passenger side aire bag, when i bought the car it had the light on, it looks like it may have had a bump in a previous life, is it possible the control unit has been activated and needs replacing?

Thanks

Yes, it is possible, but if it had activated, the bag would have had to be replaced.
If all else fails, Roverlandparts.com has guaranteed used SRS ECU's for $95 and Paul Grant most likely has them for less.
