Default Srs light help

Is there any way to reset the SRS light on 2001 disco II other than the dealer? I am pretty sure it is just a dirty connector at one of the pretensioners. Let me know please.

You need to find a mechanic with a lap top type scanner, like an Auto Logic or something similiar that has the necessary software to read your codes. Once you find the fault, make the repairs and then you can clear the codes.

Once the problem is corrected then the light should go out.
Buckle and un-buckle the passenger seatbelt half a dozen times or so, common problem with DII's if you dont carry alot of passengers.

If you were able to find and repair the SRS issue, you must still have a scanner read and then clear the codes, they don't go out by them selves.

Had the same problem on a 2000 DII. The cause was a loose connector under the drivers seat that my kids had kicked few times. Un-plugged it then sprayed contact cleaner on it and re-plugged it then used zip ties to hold it up against the seat frame.

The SRS light went off by itself. Hopefully, your problem is this simple.

I cleaned the pretensioner plugs under each seat and cleaned the contacts on the buckles and likemagic the light has went off and not came back on. Thank god, no paying the dealer to turn off a light.

You lucke out on that one, not all SRS codes go out by themselves.
