Just an update, pulled the heat shield, starter was a mess. Cleaned the crud off and liberally sprayed the connectors with contact cleaner, works good now.

The critical part was the braided, short ground to the solenoid,it was a completely soaked in oil and road crap.

I will see if lasts, thanks all for your input.

It depends on the part. Would you rather buy no name wheel bearings from Amazon and hope they are ok or just buy Timken who has good quality control? I had to replace my steering intermediate shaft. Sure a no name $80 part from EBay looked good but I got a good OE used replacement from Will Tillery for around the same cost. Don’t want to mess around losing steering on the highway.
