Hi Everyone.
I have a 01 disco 2. Having some issues starting. I think the alarm system is preventing the start. New battery fitted. as soon as its connected the alarm is sounding, flashers going off and no start. The original key was lost sometime ago. So we are using a replacement and it does nothing to switch off the alarm Can someone give me some pointers to bypass it and see if I can get this thing started? Or even start to diagnose the problem..

Connect batttery, open truck, turn on ignition should silence alarm. Then you need to exit the truck, lock and unlock the door three times. See if the truck will start.
