Default Steering damper

Looking to upgrade my steering damper. I have a billstein with 60000 miles on it. Currently my disco has 170000 miles and going strong! What would you guys recommend?

make sure you buy one that returns to center. the one from TF does not RTC.

2nd that. I have the TF one that doesn't RTC, hate it. I want to change mine out. Keep us posted on what you get and any tips on the swap.

I guess we will all find out together, but i'm guessing someone sells an OEM damper.
OP says he is running a billstein now, so i guess they must make one.

I think Zack at Rovers North also mentioned a damper that was RTC the last time this came up

TF does make a TRC (Coil Spring over the damper), but I don't think it's for the disco. (female to female)

OEM damper is not RTC. He does have a bilstein, he never said it was RTC nor did he mention he was looking for one. You said he should get one, so I figured you knew where one could obtain an RTC for the D2.

The TF835 is for the Defender and can be fitted to a D1 or RRC using the TF retrofit kit.

You would have to custom make something for the D2.

What aspect are you trying to upgrade? Are you having some sort of problem that you are trying to correct?

Someone with some intelligence! Thanks for bringing this back on track. It gets frustrating when people just start giving information without any knowledge of what they're talking about. Lets help get the OP some proper answers.

The only upgraded Dampers that I know of are TF, OME, or Bilstein.

I've got the TF from Lucky 8. It works, nothing special. Just a quality product at a good price.
