Default Steering Damper Options

I would like to replace the steering damper on my truck. What are some good and affordable options? I currently have the original.

I saw a Eurospare damper on Amazon for $48. Almost bought it, but I don't know if it is any good. Has anyone used it before?
Thanks

I'm not a fan of Eurospare parts.

No issues with Bilstein > https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bsn-24-105804

Ok I'm not surprised to hear that. I know that their thermostats are bad as well. I would love to get a bilstein damper, but it's double the price and I kind of on a budget. Is the terrafirma one any good? If not then bilstein it is.

I've had the TF for a couple years. Seems to be holding up well.

Leaking and/or worn out?

Steering damper check
Check the condition operation of the hydraulic
steering damper as follows:
Check procedure
1. Inspect damper for casing damage or leaks.
2. Clamp one end of the damper horizontally in a
vice using soft jaws. Compress and extend the
unit by hand. Resistance should be equal in both
directions.
3. If it is felt that the unit is outside acceptable
limits, fit a new steering damper

FYI, my eurospare 180 stat works well. If on a budget I wouldn't hesitate to get an aftermarket damper.

Hasn't started leaking yet. But I'm pretty sure it's worn out. On some bumps on the highway, I get a wobble in the steering wheel. I had the same issue on my Toyota Sequoia and a new damper solved the problem. Also, it is the only steering part that hasn't been replaced so I'm pretty sure that the damper is my issue.

I'm considering the TF damper because it's only ~$10 more than the eurospare. I think I'll wait for a sale.

X1

I use the TF steering damper also although initially it was non self centering it seems to have 'calmed down' a bit now and appears well worth the £26 compared to the genuine LR option.

I'm pleased with my TerraFirrma. One note, I initially installed it upside down. Fat end on the truck end, skinny end on the steering linkage. Caused a little binding that I regret.
I think the rave shows it the other way around... don't feel like checking.
