Default Steering wheel audio controls help

Has anyone dissected the steering wheel controls for the audio? My volume down is not working. Looking at the wiring diagram all of the buttons are wired in series with different resistor values for each button, so I know it's not the rotary coupler as all the other buttons work. Where are the resistors located? Are they located inside of the switch housing, or external to that? The FSM shows one lead coming out of the switch housing (has to be at least two wires as the system is wired...), but without taking apart my steering wheel and checking the housing I cannot see where the resistors are located (looking at the FSM). The links to the "RAVE" are dead so that's no help, unless someone has mirrored it somewhere. Any help is appreciated! Worst case I'll pull the airbag off (carefully and after letting everything discharge!!!) and get in there and check it out, just hoping for a heads up before I do that. It should be a 50 cent fix for a new resistor...or at worst a new switch housing.
