I was wondering if maybe we could get a sticky post that would have advice for everyone about what fluids that are "best"/sugested for Discos. Maybe a "What Fluids to use in a Disco I"and a "What Fluids to use in a Disco II" sticky. When ever I check into fluids it is hard to keep up to date as many of the searches pull up messages from all over the board as of years and Disco type. I really think this would be a vauable sticky as I know I am always wanting to put the "best" into my Disco.And this is something that everyone has to do, so knowing the best would help. This is not rocket science, use the best fluids you can afford to get the most from your truck, doesn't amke any difference if it si a D1 or D2.
Consider using synthetic, good oil filters and stay on top of all you fluid changes.

 

Oh, this one is easy.

D1- Royal Purple
D2- Royal Purple.

 

What brand oil filter do you guys recomend? I live on the opposite side of a busy town from a LR dealer. Any aftermarket filter recomendations?

 

My questions are more 'How often' do I have to change oil/fluids/filters etc.

(Sorry, I'm not mechanical inclined lol - IT guy here )
