Default Sticky thermostat? Or air in the system?

Just had my Disco serviced - BUT - At start up temperature gauge remains at zero low. After 10 to 15 minutes of driving the gauge swings immediately from low to normal and remains there. No other symptoms. Recently serviced and coolant replaced. Think it is probably air in the system.
Can this be bled simply by raising the front end and running the engine with the filler cap off?
