Default still having idle problem!!

my '95 is still ideling at 1500rpms!! I have tried everyones suggestions with no luck!! Here is a list of what I have tried.

1. cleaned MAF
2. Cleaned idel control, also disconnected and engine went to 3000rpms.
3. new plugs and wires.
4. disconnected battery and left off for twelve hours.

I just spent almost $800 on fixing my front sunroof, so I really don't want to take her in to the dealership. It's prob something simple anyhow.
please,please help me!!

maf will set a light (is there a light) next cant clean a maf next there is a stepper motor for idle control that you can clean next if there is a light you probably have a vacume leak. Just for s--ts and giglles check throttle body linkage and pull the boot make sure the butterfly comes all the way home

Actually, you can, with the proper instructions, clean the old Lucas MAF's, the Bosh on the other hand will clean up some, but not enough to clear a code. The good news is that a MAF won't drive your idle up like you ae experiencing.

Default RE: still having idle problem!!

I was looking around at my local pick and pull and came across a LR "County estate". When I lifted the hood I found a 3.9!!! All of the sensors were there!! I pulled the TPS, idel control and the MAF!! I paid $13 for all!!!!! I about died!! Since I was pretty sure the idel control was ok, I decided to change the TPS. As it turns out the one from the yard had a round plug and mine was square, so I spliced the end from my TPS to the one from the yard!! My LR now idels perfect!!! Thanks for the help, I have learned quite a bit about my LR From this forum. I hope this helps someone in the future.
