I installed my 245-75-16 tires on 98 disco 1 ---- they do rub at rear i remember seeing a post where someone notched the rear fender i cant find it now does anyone know where to find the pic

 

I do not know where the pic is, but check out www.discoweb.org as those guys have alot of write ups and are really big into modding their trucks, including taking a saws-all to the fenders.
I should add that if you replace your springs then they wont rub.
Your truck is shorter now that she is older because the springs get weak with age.
