Ok, so I put in an other Power steering pump. I get the same thing as I did with the first replacement (after I removed the plug from the res.)

I get spurting out the bleeder screw at first and then it ends. I was getting a swirling in the res and now, i'm not too sure (although it does appear that there is movement in there)

Is there another component that could have gone bad after sitting for a year in the woods dry? Is there somewhere else I should look?

I do have a tube on the bleeder screw and when I turn the wheel to the right, fluid moves out...when I turn the wheel to the left, it sucks fluid back on...

Thought, suggestions?

Get a tube that fits it and stick it in a bottle of PS fliud.

 

is there any noise or just hard steering? if its the hard steering had a steering box break internally causing the issue.

 

It is hard steering...are the boxes easy to repair?
