I have not had central locking ever since I got my D2, and finally got around to installing a new driver side front actuator in hopes of solving my locking problem. With the new actuator installed the driver's door functions perfectly via the fascia switch, key, and speed based locking (I don't have a key fob, it's next on my list after getting all the locks working) but none of the other locks function at all.

So, any suggestions for what to check next? I looked at the header that is common to all of the locks (C0292) but it is wrapped up in a big loom under the dash and seems unlikely that it would disconnect on its own/be subject to corrosion. I also unbolted the passenger compartment fuse panel to make sure the lock header (C0582) was connected tightly to the back. Is it likely that all four of my other actuators are bad? Thanks for any direction.

 

I may stand corrected but, the drivers door actuator is the master actuator which controls the rest of the door actuators. The BCU controls the central locking and superlock to the whole truck when the remote fob is used. The BCU has to be synched to the new actuator and fob.

I may be talking out of my backside as my very competent garage owning pal in the UK fitted my new actuators as part of a major service when in the UK some years ago. I'll try find out more and reply later.
