Default Stock Articulation

I really did not realize how poorly a stock Disco II articulated until just now. Now I know why people were looking strangely while I was balanced on obstacles two wheels off the ground and why I could not get up and over some things other people had no trouble with. (of course if it was straight on and not so muddy the diffs dug in, then it just chugged through the obstacle).

In the driveway I stuck one normal 12" service ramp below one front and the opposite rear wheel and even with just that the opposite wheels were off the ground.

Is there any way to improve articulation without removing the swaybars entirely? I am getting disconnects for the front and moving the front connections to the rear (and maybe making some centre-split disconnects fit the rear as well) but on-road with the 3" lift what can I do to improve the behaviour of the swaybars in general? Anything?

Wild theories and speculation welcome. You never know if something will work until you give it a go.

What shocks are you running, if they are the standard HD OME shocks, they won't allow you any more articulation.
Firm coils with 2" longer shocks will make for a pretty goo crawling vehicle.
Send me your e-mail with any picture you might have showing your wheel travel, I'll send you some of mine.

N106 / N107, I'm thinking of going with Bilstein 7100's if I stay with a stockish setup, if I find someone to do the coilover conversion then perhaps 9100's but probably still 7100's

I'm wondering what the longest I can get away with is if I do lowered mounts and towers. I'm wondering about the use of straps to restrict travel on highway, any experience with that kind of setup?

People I have spoken with swear by the 7100's, no straps needed.
