Default "stock" DI suspension measurements

I knew my suspension was BEAT , I just didn't know how bad. My 60# daughter could collapse the rear springs 3-4" by steping on the rear step , shocks were beat , frt end was wallowing, something had to be done...soon and cheap. I , like most of us wanted a lift..but I can only go so far or the truck wouldnt fit in the garage to work on it ! Since most of the replys on here are from those with a lift, and since there are no "new " DI s around it was difficult to get some measurements to see how bad I had it. My decision was to go with new "stock" springs, new Edelbrock shocks ( why later), new frt and rear spring isolators. With stock tires @ 35psi, on level garage floor,
floor to top of arch on front wheel well is 32.75"
floor to top of arch on rear wheel well is 32.00"
the body side trim line is level from frt to rear.
this gained me 1.75 " on the rear and 2" on the front !!!! below is a list of parts.
parts purchased from Atlantic/British
spring kit 9273A.................229.95
front spring isolators......RBC100111 2@ 26.95= 53.90
rear sp. isolator............ANR2938 2@ 13.95= 27.90
I purchased my shocks from Edelbrock online they are on closeout for $27.00 each !!!!
(you cant buy monroes for that ) these would normally be $350.00.
so.....4 shocks @$27.00 = $108.00

grand total..........$419.75 ......It rides like a dream, no more bouncing, definitely worth the time and money.
a few notes..............I did this by myself and it took about 4 hours total, worst part was getting the new springs installed in front, you could rent a spring compressor to make life easier, but not neccessarry. DI s did not come with the frt spring isolators, but they are only $10 more than the standard shock tower bolt rings. I'm glad I had them because out of the 8 shock tower bolts...I broke 4 taking the old ones apart !
Sorry for the long post, and I hope this info will help anyone who had the same concerns as I did.
