Default stock radio

1995 Discovery 3.9 automatic...

Upon placing the code into the radio so I could see if I bought a vehicle, with sound.....

The radio plays, but I have no volume control and it is at a whisper.full volume, just a hint of music.

Upon looking at the manual, I noticed it has a built in control formuting the volumewhen thefactory cell-phones is in use. Thisvehicle has a factory cell that i want to remove as its not working. I'm afraid to touch anything concerning the cell, till I have volume on the radio. any suggestions????

You can't hurt the cell phone. Have you tried turning on the cell phone, then turning it back off, to see if that will make the radio come up in volume? Have you tried the volume up and down push-buttons on your instrument cluster surround?

Do you have the volume controls on the dash?
Your amp might be toast.

Do you have the sub woofer in the cargo door? Ifd so you have a amp under the glove box. On my '97 the amp was bad, low volume and no bass and the CD chnager didnt work. New radio from Best Buy fixed it.
