Default Stopped by the dealer...

Was out running around today and decided to stop by the dealer and get a few things. I wanted to get a bulb base for the front bumper marker light. He said the base comes with the wiring harness and it would be $114! Forget it. Also asked him for the anti-rattle springs for my brake pads because mine were shot. He said that I can't get just the springs, I have to buy a kit and it's $136! Screw that! The only part I've bought there is the TPS because it was $108 (in stock) and NAPA wanted $134 (not in stock) and I didn't want to wait a week. Also bought the bulb base for the rear bumper lights as they were about the same price as AB. Some prices they're good but others.... ouch.

Also looked at the LR4... didn't like it. too yuppie... a soccer mom SUV. Doesn't look like something I would even want to take off-road.

Yeah the dealer is hit or mis. I too bought the rear bumper turn signal bulb holder from the dealer because it was cheaper than AB after shipping, he had 2 in stock so I bought them both.

For brake rattle you can pull out the pads and coat the back with anti rattle compound from the auto parts store. Few dollars and it works.

I stopped by the toyota dealer to get some odds and ends for my corolla I am reconstructing. $2 per little plastic clips to hold the plastic fender liner on, needed 15, $25 for 1 tiny plastic bumper clip and $30 for a small metal fender bracket. Got all the parts now baby, and new snow tires for the wife to stay away from trees. Now I need to recall how to put it all back together.
