anyone thought of checking the engine management ecu of a frosty??? think about the firing order and 1 6 then think 4 coil motor. a frosty is the thing what happens when a ecu plug gets wet and wella 1 flavor, white zinc oxide. pull the plug and look inside it. its very interestingly placed next to the battery, king of frosty. scott

How difficult is it to switch the plug wires? They look like they disappear around the back of the engine and so look like a d*#ch to change.
Give me a shout, I'll be around most of the day.

Had a long run and after warmup was fine. However, 30 mins later, the damn thing won't start at all now..

Interesting.. Can a crank sensor cause misfires too?
A crank sensor can not in any way cause a misfire, it will either stall your engine or not allow it to start.

Alas the saga continues on this one. New Crank Sensor fixed the no start problem. I sprayed the wires and the misfire seemed worse, so I switched to magnecor wires.

However, this all done, I *still* have a slight misfire. This morning the truck served up some check engine codes again. P300, P301 and P306 (misfires on Cyl #1 and #6). Do the question is what gives?

Are cyl #1 and #6 on the same coil pack? Please say they aren't so I don't have the pay the 3hr of labor to get them changed (the same as the plug wires).

Would an old MAF cause this?
