Good afternoon, I have a 2000 Discovery with the 4.0 and I have seamed to strip the front plug on the passenger side. I need thoughts on the easiest way to fix and the kit I need to buy. Thanks

 

I had a similar issue with a plug on my engine prior to do an unrelated engine rebuild. I picked up a 14mm reverse tap from amazon -- Back Tap Worked like a charm but ultimately the machine shop when through everything when the heads were cleaned up etc..

 

Before you do anything, check to see if there are any leftover plug washers that might have slipped off the old spark plug during previous plug changes. I was changing plugs on a GMC truck years ago and couldn't get the new plug started. After investigating, I found 3 old plug washers from previous plug changes preventing the new plug to start. If that's the case, it will save you a lot of time and grief in trying to re-tread the spark plug hole.
