Default Stroking the 4.6 to a 5.2

So, has anyone heard of someone who has purchased this kit (http://www.v8tuner.co.uk/product.php?id=879) and put it in their Disco? How much was the kit? Did they have to upgrade the axles/driveshafts/diffs to handle the power? Just curious, im not ordering any time soon.

Will Tillery did a 5.0 kit, I understand it was pretty damn impressive. Don't know much else about it though sorry

Nice setup but, I bet it is high $ and I bet it would cost a good amount to ship over.

Would probably be too fun in an MGB.

No doubt. Power doesn't come cheap for these old Discoverys. I've done about all I can do to mine without a turbo or more displacement. She makes in the ballpark of 215hp and 310 torque at the wheels, but part of me still wishes I could get more. A big part. Haha

It would probably be cheaper to do the LS swap that another member did to his D2

To me it's a great idea and challenge - hmmmm, but in a super dooper performance truck or car and you'll never recover your cash when selling. Janspeed produced a large engined RR version running on huge twin turbos years ago but they also uprated all the drive train to suit. I believe it knocked out something in the order of 450bhp at the crank. https://www.google.fr/webhp?sourceid...0Rover%20turbo you can read these at your leisure.

Have you seen any of these particular engines finished or in use? the problem is there are dozens of 'cottage industry' engine tuners who don't last for too long and then you are stuck with their engine parts if you hit problems later and even if they do stay in business you are locked onto them at their escalating costs and they've got you by the 'short and curlies' forever.

I'm sure that you will also have issues with the existing drive train arrangement as it struggles to cope with the existing engine powers as it hasn't fundamentally changed since the days of the old Series LR's only it's cheapened up in many respects.

look up a Griffin, morgan or TVR 400hp normal aspirated engines using LR block are an everyday event.
If you look up any rover car and a Land Rover of the same year same engine you will see the car has 50-80 more hp right off the show room floor.
Land Rover spec. the engine to low and slow, the purpose of and go everywhere vehicle
