Default Stroking 4L V8 - 4.6L... ?

Could be the dumbest question ever asked here - did a quick search to see if it's been asked before and didn't see anything. I have a thread already on my engine woes - but, putting this out there... Is it possible to stroke a 4L to a 4.6L from the sump?

sure throw in the crank, rods, piston and rings from a 4.6, but you will have to disconnect the motor from the tranny.

Actually just the crank, bearings and connecting rods are all that are needed, might want to have the crank cleaned up first.

are the heads the same? i figure 4.6 heads are opened up abit more or have larger valves to accomdate the flow? curious myself because id love to stroke this disco out when she fails a few years from now and needs a rebuild anyway im big on upgraded when needing replacement anyway, takes some of the sting out of breaking things!

If you don't replace the pistons with 4.6 pistons, your compression ratio will go up. These things already take premium gas, might push it too high for the gas you can get in your area.
