stuck on the g.d. side of the road ...again!
About 15 minutes ago I'm on my way to the dr.s office with the littlest chillin and then boom very bad vibration on the interstate. It started out like a flat so I pull off and nothing tires are fine. So I drive it with the hazards on to the nearest exit and it just kept getting worse! Idk what to do I've had it with this thing. Idk what's going on. Could this be my head gasket blown? No coolant is pouring out or anything. Can someone help me figure this out?
Sorry to hear about your misfortune. What's done is done. You've done all could by pulling over safely and shutting the truck down.
Now, give us some symptoms try to be specific.
Number one, inspect your drive-shaft to make sure it still in one piece.

Pretty obvious you are not to mechanical, if that is the case, have it towed to a good Rover shop, not a dealer. If you are mechanical it is doubtful you blew a head gasket, won't shake the truck. Have you inspected both drive shafts, especially the front, if it has never been rebuilt it has most likely failed. What year is your Disco, do you have a CDL t/case?
Any codes? Check Engine Light On? Did it misfire? Do you have an Ultra Gauge to report temps?
There is only a handful of things that could cause vibrations.
* Engine not properly firing
* Loose wheels (wheel bearings, lug nuts, tie rods, steering bars, broken axles)
* Broken or damaged motor/trans/center diff mounts)
* Drive-shafts out of balanced or broken U-Joints

OK so its definitely in the drive. I am always in fear of my head gaskets anyhoo. There is a thumping going on when the wheels are moving so narrows it down. I had to leave it to get this little guy to the dr. And then I'm gonna go back to inspect the drive shafts, wheel bearings etc...is there anything I need to be watching out for as far as the ty rod is concerned? Oh yeah, yes I have a cdl t.case with no diff lock lever or shifter. But the t.case in low and moved forward then back but not enough to feel a vibration.
Well guys I have found myself at the hands of loose lug nuts. Every single one on the rear driver was loose and getting ready to fall off. That's pretty scary considering I was toting around a nine month old baby on the interstate at 70mph. What would cause something like that to happen other than maybe someone thinking I'm a dick cheese and loosing them... well I may have answered my own question....
Once again
