Stuck Passenger side window regulator
I have a 2000 Disco II. I have done the research on here about the window regulators and the plastic rollers breaking. Turns out that is exactly what has happend to my passenger side window. The problem I am having is that the back roller is broken and the metal finger that holds the roller will not slide at all. There for my window is stuck almost all the way up. (Better than down b/c of the rain we've had) but I can't get it down to take apart. I think the window needs to be down to get everything apart. Is this right? Any tips on how to disassemble would be great. Thanks!
It is not a big deal, I replaced mine about a month ago. Once you remove the door panel you can lose the bolts that hold the motor/regulator and wiggle the thing to the position to take the regulator off the glass.
Well it turns out that I just needed to take all the bolts out and let is the whole regulator come down. Once that happened I was able to get access to the bolts that hold the window in place. I then pushed the window all the way back up and secured it with painters tape. Now the question is should I just reaplace the whole regulator or order the metal rollers from Falconworks? Has anyone installed the metal rollers on their Disco from Falconworks? How do you get the rollers on the rivet/finger that holds it in place?
