Stuck on starter
So this happened in Colorado to my daughter. I had to walk her through the repairs over the phone
She drove 3 blocks home, shut off the motor and the starter was spinning. It went on for 5 minutes and quit. She popped the hood and saw smoke and smelled electrical .
She replaced the starter and kept the bitching to a minimum. Still would not start. No click nothing . She bought the starter at AutoZone so I thought maybe it was bad . It turned out to be a fried starter relay.
New one on me. I don't know if the relay stuck and burned the starter or vise versa

It was probably the relay & the rest went out after it. I've seen it happen a few times over the years.
I actually grabbed a few Auto Zone starters a while back for my 98 D1 LSE and a few customer vehicles. I had very good results with them and my 98 D1 started the best out of all my LR's with that starter. It was a refurb bosch from Mexico, but somone down there was doing a decent job lol. I've also had great results with Parts Player stuff. Glad you got it fixed and on the road again.
