Studs on Front Cover
So I'm starting to put together the Rover during a head gasket/timing chain/oil pump replacement. When I was taking things apart I discovered that I did not have studs on the bottom of the front cover, somebody previously tapped them and I just had bolts connecting the front of the oil pan to the front cover.
Well I was putting the oil pan back on today and one of the bolts stripped the tap out. I was able to get the bolt out, but it took some threads with it and won't tighten.

What are my options to repair so I can finish torquing the oil pan?

I suppose I could just purchase a new/used front cover. I assume I would also need to replace the gaskets as well when I pull the oil pan and front cover back off?
That's going to sting.

Depends on what you are willing to spend. You can get a new one from the U.K. For around $300 or a used on over here from $150 on up on average
