Wow, do you know if there are any of those blocks available anywhere? Looks awesome, I hope to be doing the same soon!

@Tony Luna
Hi Tony, sorry to hijack the thread but I am curious how the 02 oil cooler swap went. Is there any write ups on this? Was it a tough job? Do you think its worth it?

Is that your GTO too? I have a black 06 6 speed myself. By some chance of god it is actually down with a spun rod bearing and my 02 Disco is still going. Figures. About to throw a temporary 5.3 in while I consider rotating assembly options on the LS2. Both engines are currently torn down in my "shop" awaiting reassembly, the virus mail delay is killing my progress. I miss driving that thing so much.

Bought it off another forum member about a year ago. Top hat liners and new cam bearings (along with the parts in my sig). The motor in my truck runs great, but I can’t let all the rebuild parts sit still anymore...

Very straightforward IF you can find decent lines. I got a really nice set from Goldwing LR parts in NY. There is also an excellent write up on how to fab up new lines on the forum. The cooler fits on the the radiator the same way the tranny cooler does. I did not notice any difference in temps - but I also have the in-line t-stat mod. My temps are typically between 183 and 194. All said and done, I figure it cannot hurt.

Yep. Bought the GTO new in ‘05. Not one aspect of that car has not been modified. I started hoarding body and interior parts shortly after I got it and completed a thorough 2 year restoration about a year ago. Lots of posts on LS1GTO.com. Starting to do the same with the Disco now - which we also got new in ‘04.
