Default sunroof motor

According to RAVE you should be able to close the electric sunroof manually with an Allen key in the slot in the motor. Mine will only turn easily one way (thus opening the sunroof further). I turned it fairly hard the other direction but it won't budge. The electric motor opens and closes just fine but the trailing edge no longer flaps down. Any ideas?

Thanks
Alan

Sounds like you let yours get too dirty and out of lube, most likely you will need to replace the sun roof assembly. You might consider buying a good guaranteed used assembly from, http://www.roverlandparts.com/index....S&Category=373

Mike, do you mean the guides are out of lube or the motor itself? The roof slides pretty good both ways on the motor using the switch. There was a noise like a sharp crack and from then on the trailing edge refused to close.
