Try greasing up the slides with lithium grease. and don't operate them at the same time. They will not go at the same time. It has to do with power being draw from the module that controls the sunroof.

I've worked them both at the same time for over 6 months, I know what they usually do. This happened all of the sudden though

Bump!

Are you still making the components?

If I might make a suggestion: maybe purchase a few of the spiral gears from a salvage yard to keep on hand. Then offer the kit with a core charge. The complete kit goes to the customer and they return the broken bits to you.

This way the customer doesn't have to keep their interior dismantled while waiting for the repair parts.

Sound reasonable ?

Hey!

I was trying to fix my sunroofs.... I had exactly the problem you describe, the plastic parts in the tip of the spring were broken. How much is the cost of the replacement? Where can I buy it?

Thanks!

I ended up machining brass ends for my sunroof and soldering them onto the springs.

I need just the parts you said you may have ready. I have a 1998 Land rover Discovery. I believe I need a roller coaster left and right and the plastic slides for each and the slides that lift the windows in the front lift bars My name is Fred

Please let me know How I might obtain the part.

I tried emailing this guy a few times and got no response. Also can't find anything on ebay, and can't find anything when I google "STOFFEL MASTERS & PROTOTYPES"
Shame, as his stuff had good reviews from folks who used them.

Default Repair Kits

What's up man, awesome post. Would really like to pick up some parts for both of my sunroofs, as I have known the problem for some time. But have yet to find a permanent solution. Let me know if you're still able to fabricate those.

Thanks,

Stewart
