No but he does control the policy direction that incentifies or discincentifies exploration, drilling and refining. But here he is the press conference on Tuesday doubling down on a "clean energy investment" (read:tax) when he should be talking about suspending the Jones Act, ethanol subsidies, summer gas regulations and removing barriers to capital investments in drilling.

"Loosening environmental regulations or pulling back clean energy investment won’t — let me explain — won’t — will not lower energy prices for families. But transforming our economy to run on electric vehicles [as long as they are union made] powered by clean energy with tax credits [i.e. subsidies funded by other taxpayers] to help American families winterize their homes and use less energy, that will — that will help."

Always down for a good political debate, but probs should leave it outside of the Disco forum, haha. I definitely didn't mean for it to be a post that led toward politics, just disco juice. ha.

Here in Utah we pay 31.41% in tax per gallon plus 18.4˘ federal tax. How about we take a break from that for a while! (I know some states pay much, much more in tax)

T-Rex - Buck the trend like me. I am driving across country from Florida to Moab on Friday - gas prices be damned! Care to join me on the trail?

Definitely post what the total gas bill is, I'm genuinely curious what that kind of journey might cost. Been thinking about doing one toward Montana for a while.

Why would you waste your money on this and THEN complain about gas prices? Seems kind of stupid.
