No but he does control the policy direction that incentifies or discincentifies exploration, drilling and refining. But here he is the press conference on Tuesday doubling down on a "clean energy investment" (read:tax) when he should be talking about suspending the Jones Act, ethanol subsidies, summer gas regulations and removing barriers to capital investments in drilling.
"Loosening environmental regulations or pulling back clean energy investment won’t — let me explain — won’t — will not lower energy prices for families. But transforming our economy to run on electric vehicles [as long as they are union made] powered by clean energy with tax credits [i.e. subsidies funded by other taxpayers] to help American families winterize their homes and use less energy, that will — that will help."

Definitely post what the total gas bill is, I'm genuinely curious what that kind of journey might cost. Been thinking about doing one toward Montana for a while.
