Easiest Kayak rack and bars for lifted discovery II
Anyone know a good system for loading a kayak onto a lifted discovery?
I'm looking at the thule system that has the telescoping bar for puttting one end up first etc. Or maybe something that can load from the back?
I need something I can do myself. Any input appreciated.

For a DI
I use Yakima's Hully Rollers in the back and Mako saddles above the B pillars. The distance between the two rails works for 12'-18' kayaks, I've never tried a ww kayak or anything shorter than 12 feet. The hully rollers mounted as near the back as possible allow you to lay the bow of the boat on the rail and not the top of your vehicle. Some concerns when mounting it this way: head of bolts can mar the paint(solved by using foam tape to cover bolts), rear sunroof operation limited, and attaching the strap for the saddles could be awkward the first few times. If you have any other ?'s don't hesitate
