You mean like this?
Install Instructions

Skip to about 13:30-13:50. There's a bracket that attaches the wing to the sheet metal in the wheel well. Crappy design IMO. The amount of work necessary to properly brace the bumpers wings back to the frame is so minimal I'm astounded that companies won't do it. It really makes NO sense. Bolting 3/16" or 1/4" steel to flimsy sheetmetal also makes NO sense. Notice in the video how he mentions the inner wheel well already sustained some damage, and he had to hammer it out? Why in the world would you want to take all the impact from a HD bumper wing and transfer it straight to weak sauce sheetmetal!!!??
All you need is one outrigger on each side, bolting to the wing and running back and bolting to the frame.

I understand.. I just wish more companies would invest in making the bumper stronger as opposed to how it looks. I love the Greg Davis bumper with the sliders under the sills but cannot seem to find a way to get my hands on one

You just missed a GD sale on discoweb. Should be easy enough to contact Greg and see if he has one.
