Default Tail door woofers

Thought I saw a thread about low volume from the tailgate subs but can't find it now. The speakers are intact and put out some sound but at much less volume than the other speakers. Do they have a separate amp from the one under the driver seat. Anyone else experience this or heard of a cause/solution?

they use the same amp.

on a stock head unit, low sound is usually a symptom of corrosion on connections or loose wires.

It depends what audio system you have in your Disco 2...
- High Line has the steering wheel controls, HK amp, CD changer, and premium speaker system
- Mid Line has the steering wheel controls and A-post speakers but no amp, no CD changer and no 2 tail door subs
- Base Line has no steering wheel controls, no amp, no CD changer and no 2 tail door subs.

I have the High Line system and I've changed my tailgate speakers. It really doesn't make much difference. I didn't have a HK amp, but the High Line amp and it's equalization is a bit goofy and you really need to change the amp to make much of a difference to the frequency going to them.
