Default Stock Speakers and Amp
I have a 2003 Land Rover Discovery S. Base 6 speaker sound system with no rear door sub-woofers. Do I have an amp?

Yes, the head unit feeds line level to an amp under the drivers seat.

There's no amp, but a CD changer. Unless I'm missing something.

The CD changer is under the passenger seat unless you have a RHD model.
