Tasteful modification?
Hey I was looking for ideas for mods that aren’t the usual cdl, off-road bumpers, lift. Figured this could start into a thread we’re people post their tasteful mods that they did, for example I’m doing a dash cam rear view mirror install that replaces the rear view mirror with a lcd screen that also had rear view and dash recording capabilities , also doing a ultraguage custom mount, and interior sound deadening, onboard air. Maybe ideas for others to post is their custom switches or useful things they think others should do that are reasonable

I put a push button start, 10" Single Din radio, AuTool gauge, and Mirror Dash cam on mine. I am getting ready to build a box for a 10" shallow mount sub on my rear door. I also tinted my windows. It makes for a comfortable driving experience. None of it is over the top or required a ton of modification to my Rover with exception to the sub.

I've done some unique mods. Most are cheap.
18mm security film on the windows and sun roofs, for example (stops the fast brick break-ins by petty thieves), for example.
I installed an expensive automatic fire extinguisher in the D2 engine bay, but there are cheap fireball automatic extinguishers now that make this mod too cheap to turn down for piece of mind in an old gas/oil guzzler.
The window film and extinguisher can be found for cheap on eBay.
Walmart has the best prices on jump boxes. Think about it, the most common reasons for being dead on the side of the road are:
dead battery (solution=jump box),
out of gas (solution =spare jerry can mounted to rear spare tire)
broken serp belt (solution = spare serp belt in tray under hood)
burst coolant hose (solution=hose repair tape and spare water)
Flat tire (solution=spare tire, can of Fix-A-Flat, and tire repair kit)
Oh, and the UHF/VHF/Ham radios are now dirt cheap. Or CB radio if you are into that. Won't always have cell service far off-road. I think that I paid maybe $40 for my RETEVIS RT5
Plus, of course you have a smart phone so add the $4 (yup four bucks) ELM327 to your ODB2 port and then just download one of the free apps that shows your precise coolant temp and O2 sensor operations on your phone. Lets you easily see your engine codes and reset adaptive parameters, etc.

Front fog and main lamp guards(metal), snorkel, rear lamp guards fogs and tail lamp(metal), steel rear bumper, upgraded radiator with inline therm mod, bigger wheels(rims and tires), roof rack and ladder, partial OME lift, better headlamp and fog lamp bulbs(white in colour), bigger radio deck unit with reverse cam, 2nd row seat eliminated and added right side 3rd row seat, catalytic delete, and most importantly OBD reader just for coolant temps.
