It's going to cost him collision damage/personal injury if he doesn't sort this out.

My landy is doing the same. I've put second-hand her bearing shaft checked all fuses cleaned all plugs and it still does the same no codes come up on my nanacon either.
Have you got it sorted yet if so help here needed pls

Ten years later, he either got it sorted or the issue came to some other conclusion on its own.

Sounds like an ABS sensor signal issue to me, or a SLABS module issue possibly.

You can disable the abs system by pulling the ABS relay, but of course that comes with it's own issues.
