Default Terrafirma discovery 2 steering rods

TERRAFIRMA DISCOVERY 2 STEERING RODS

Do these use D2 or D1 rod ends?
I seem to remember reading somewhere they were D1 ends?

I want to get something quality and greaseable.
Any suggestions?

I don't think I fully understand your question, but they are greaseable.

My D2's tie rods aren't greasable with no zerk and fittings.
Matter of fact, I recently bought 2 sets of Meyle tie rods to replace both on my track rods and steering drag links.
They are sloppy af...

Those are D2 rods and ends. I've heard good things about the TF HD rods, but haven't seen them in person. I replaced mine with the Britpart (gasp) standard duty rods and have been plenty happy for the price. Will probably fabricate an HD set next go around and make them to correct for the slight bump steer.

Some of you may have misunderstood my earlier response. I was referring to the Terrafirma drag link and track rod joints.

The Terrafirma, Rovers North and AB sites all say the joints are greaseable. The Lucky8 page is silent about whether or not the ends are greaseable. The AB video clearly shows grease fittings.

Within a month I will have ordered and installed them so I'll let you know. We all know the stock joints are not greaseable.

If you have the TF drag link and track rod and the joints are not greaseable please let us know.

Historically they have been D1/Defender/RRC ends, perhaps that has changed. The taper is slightly different, which is another reason I prefer the ones we sell. They are typically greasable, but I have seen them come otherwise.

Zack! Dude! Why didn't you weigh in earlier? But the RN house-brand rods aren't greaseable either, are they?

Damn..haha, just realized I never responded to your PM(I'm the worst at PMs on here, best to email me, Zack@Roversnorth.com).

They are typically not greasable, no. But In heavy off road use the ball joint will likely be beaten before it fails from lost grease.

I like our in house ones, but the TF aren't bad by any means

i have the Terrafirma HD rods... yes they have grease nips. The dust boots are really fragile, and if you plan on greasing them, you'll need to cut a relief or something to let the old grease flow out
